Quality Double Glazed Bay & Bow Window Installation
Bay and bow windows always add a bit of extra charm and character to a home, so it's not surprising that they are popular. Luckily, all of our windows are available in bow and bay configurations as well.
What is a Bay Window?
A bay window is a style of window that protrudes from the external wall of the property, creating an alcove (or bay) inside the room. Bay windows are made up of 3 or more window sashes, and they provide a great panoramic view of the outside.
One reason why bay windows are popular, is that the alcove that the window creates on the inside of the property, makes an excellent seating nook, which is filled with natural light.

What is a Bow Window?
A bow window (sometimes known as a compass window) is a type of bay window, but unlike the boxy shape of a standard bay window, a bow windows has a more gentle curved shape to it.
Typically bow windows will have 4 or more window sashes, which allows them to be joined in a less severe arch. Unlike bay windows, the brickwork below a bow window doesn't always protrude away from the building underneath the window, which means that they can often be installed in place of a standard casement window.
